I once read that we fall in love with just three people in our lives - a first love, blusting, bubbling, and beautiful; a second love, painful, intense, and passionate; and a third love, pure, unconditional, and perfect. The first love is soft and quiet and ends like a whisper. The second explosive and heart wrenching and ends with a bang. The third love, though, it sneaks up on you. It is a sudden whirlwind, a "kaleidoscope of memories" as Taylor Swift once said.
I don't know if I believe this theory, but it is plausible to believe that every one person has identifiable moments, people, that press and challenge them. In fact, it is comforting to think of that this first love in all of its beauty, in all of its promise, won't be my last.
